Investigative Reports
Ombudsman Toronto produces two types of investigative reports:
Enquiry Reports and
Investigation Reports.
An Enquiry is an informal, flexible process we use to gather information about a complaint or concern and look for solutions. Sometimes, when an Enquiry results in recommendations for improving City services, we publish an Enquiry Report.
An Investigation is a more formal process that usually results in a public report. The Ombudsman may determine an Investigation is necessary if the issue(s) involved is sufficiently complex, systemic and/or of significant public interest.
